Education is not a Privilege, it is a Basic Human Right.

Education plays a vital role in improving both the standard of living and the economic status of a nation. Even though primary education was declared a fundamental right in Pakistan's first constitution, the country has struggled to ensure access to education for all its people. (Mundy et al., 2016). Estimates suggest that in 2018, 258 million people did not receive any education. While there has been a slight drop in the rate of out-of-school children since the implementation of the SDGs, there has not been a substantial reduction worldwide in the number of children not attending school. (Deloumeaux, 2019). Free and compulsory elementary education is a fundamental right

Everyone has the right to access higher education based on their ability. Schools, whether public or private, should provide an excellent education, and parents should be free to choose a school that aligns with their values. Despite global commitments to ensure education as a basic human right, millions lack access due to insufficient resources, inadequate infrastructure, and limited political support. Vulnerable and marginalized groups, including children and adults, are most negatively impacted. It's crucial to work together to guarantee equal opportunity for all. Learning opportunity is a fundamental right that can transform societies and raise living standards (UNESCO, 2024).

However, To guarantee that everyone has equitable access to a high-quality education, regardless of their financial status or geographic location, concerted efforts are needed to prioritize and invest in education. One of the most important foundations of sustainable development is education. Achieving sustainable economic development is impossible for nations without significant investments in human capital. People's perceptions of themselves and the world around them are enhanced by education. Their lives are of higher quality, and society as a whole gain a great deal from it. Education fosters entrepreneurship, technological advancements, and a rise in productivity and creativity in people..(TARIQ, 2019)

Education is a fundamental right that can transform societies and raise living standards. However, millions of children and youth worldwide lack access to education due to insufficient funds, capacity limitations, and a lack of political will. This gap disproportionately impacts the most disadvantaged and marginalized populations, hindering national progress and maintaining socioeconomic inequality. It is crucial to prioritize and invest in education to guarantee equal opportunity for everyone to receive quality education.
